How To Make Drinks Like A Latte And Cappuccino With Keurig
Can you make a latte or cappuccino with Keurig machines? Technically, the answer is no. To make a real latte or cappuccino, you need to brew espresso. Espresso is a highly concentrated shot of coffee prepared under significant water pressure. Keurig machines cannot achieve the needed level of water pressure to brew espresso. You would need an espresso maker or Nespresso machine for that.
if you can’t add an espresso machine to your home coffee bar, you can certainly your Keurig to make a drink that will be similar to a latte or cappuccino using coffee instead of espresso.

To make a drink that is like a latte or cappuccino, you will need to be able to froth milk. Unless you have the Keurig K-Cafe or Keurig K-Latte (only available at Walmart), your model does not have a built in milk frother. That means you will need to buy an accessory.
Keurig makes its own milk frother which is compatible with all machines. The Keurig frother heats up in just 3 minutes. You can use it to froth any dairy milk or soy and almond milk; however, generally speaking, whole milk or reduced fat milk tends to froth better than others.
In addition to a frother, you’ll want to stock up on K-cups that try to replicate an espresso taste. Look for a dark roast or espresso roast. I think the K-cups shown below are the best pods for lattes and cappuccinos.
See the following steps to make a warm “latte” with any machine. To make an iced latte, the steps are the same. Just add ice at the end and be sure to use a plastic or thermal cup (not glass).
