In order to always enjoy a perfect cup of coffee, it is recommended that you descale your Essenza machine at least twice a year. The Nespresso Club offers a descaling kit that has been specifically designed for your Nespresso machine. In this video, you will see just how easy it is to descale your machine. Start by turning on the machine and removing all the capsules. Empty the used capsule container and drip tray. Place a 1-liter capacity container under the coffee outlet. Fill the water tank with approximately 500ml of water and the Nespresso descaling solution. To activate the descaling mode, wait until the two buttons stop flashing, then press them both simultaneously for 3 seconds. The lights will start flashing rapidly to indicate that the descaling cycle is activated. Press the Lungo button to start. Once the flow is cut off, fill the water tank with the used solution. Press the Lungo button and let the entire descaling solution flow through the machine. To finish, empty and rinse the water tank thoroughly. Refill the water tank with clean water. Press the Lungo button to completely empty the water tank. Empty and clean the drip tray. Press both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to exit the descaling mode.
