Emptying Capsule Container and Drip Tray

To empty the capsule container and drip tray, simply remove them from the machine and discard any used capsules and excess liquid. This will help prevent any buildup and ensure a thorough descaling process.

Placing a Container Under Coffee Outlet

To catch the descaling solution during the process, place a container with a capacity of at least 1.5 liters under the coffee outlet. This will ensure that the solution is properly collected and disposed of.

Removing the Water Filter

Before proceeding with the descaling process, remove the water filter from the water tank. This will prevent any interference during the descaling process and allow for a more effective clean.

Filling the Water Tank

Next, fill the water tank with 1 liter of water and two descaling solution packets provided by Nespresso. The descaling solution is specifically formulated to remove limescale and other mineral deposits from your machine, ensuring optimal performance.

Activating the Descaling Mode

To activate the descaling mode, press and hold the Ristretto button while turning on the machine. This will initiate the descaling process and activate the red Ristretto button.

Completing the Descaling Process

During the descaling process, wait for the descaling solution to run out completely. You will notice that the Ristretto button stops flashing red and the Lungo button illuminates. This indicates that the descaling process is complete.

Rinsing the Water Tank

After completing the descaling process, empty and rinse the water tank thoroughly to remove any remaining descaling solution. This will ensure that your coffee is not affected by any residual taste from the descaling solution.

Initiating the Automatic Rinse Cycle

Once the water tank is rinsed, refill it with fresh water. Press the Lungo button to initiate the automatic rinse cycle. The machine will pause during the rinse cycle to allow for thorough cleaning.

Completing the Rinse Cycle

After the pause, press the red Lungo button to continue with the rinse cycle. Once the rinse cycle is complete, all four buttons on the machine will emit a flashing white light. This indicates that the machine is ready for use.

Conclusion

Congratulations! You have successfully descaled your Nespresso Zenius machine. Now you can continue to enjoy our range of Grands Crus, specially designed to optimize the extraction quality of your machine and ensure the maximum quality of Nespresso coffee, cup after cup.
