The Best Keurig Coffee Maker That Makes Iced Coffee (2022)

Technically, any Keurig machine can be used to make iced coffee. The challenge is that unless you use brew over ice K-cups or follow my Keurig iced coffee tips, you’ll likely end up with a watery coffee from melted ice. If you really like iced coffee and are trying to decide which Keurig machine to buy, I recommend you consider three specific models: the Keurig K-Supreme, the K-Elite and the K-Slim+ICED. These models have iced coffee making functionality built in, so they will more easily make a better tasting cup vs other ones. In my opinion, they are the best picks for a Keurig iced coffee maker.

Note that my picks below are for making a regular cup of iced coffee. If you are hoping to also make iced lattes with a Keurig, you may be better off considering a Nespresso Vertuo machine. No Keurig model can prepare a true espresso. A Nespresso Vertuo will be able to make both regular coffee and espresso for a latte.

Best Overall Pick: The Keurig K-Supreme

Keurig K-Supreme Plus

Pros:
1)

Makes iced coffee easily with the Brew Over Ice button.
2) New MultiStream technology – extracts more flavor and aroma from every pod using a new multiple needle method to more evenly saturate the coffee grounds.
3) BrewID technology [Plus Smart Model only] – recognizes the K-cup and customizes the brew settings for each pod.

Cons:
1) Only brews a 6 oz coffee. You cannot use it to brew larger coffees. If you want to make a larger iced drink, you will have to use two K-cups.

The newest Keurig coffee makers that can make iced coffee are from the K-Supreme range. There are three models that have some different specs and features: the K-Supreme, the K-Supreme Plus, and the K-Supreme Plus Smart.

All three models have a “Brew Over Ice” button that makes it super easy to make a good iced coffee that won’t taste watered down. This feature automatically adjusts the brewing temperature for iced drinks. It starts hotter to extract the full flavor of the coffee, then cools down as the brewing finishes. The result is less ice melt for an iced coffee with a vibrant, balanced flavor. Using the “Brew Over Ice” feature to make iced coffee is easy. Just fill your tumbler with ice, add your iced coffee K-cup, and hit the button.

See the specs and features table below to see how the three K-Supreme models differ.

Second Choice: The Keurig K-Elite

Keurig K-Elite

Pros:
1) “Iced” button for iced coffee making.
2) Sleek, modern design with a brushed finished and metal details.
3) Strong brew option for a bolder cup of coffee.
4) Large water reservoir.
5) Quiet brew technology minimizes noise during operation.
6) Hot water on demand for tea, soups, etc

Cons:

1) Only brews a 6 oz coffee. You cannot use it to brew larger coffees. If you want to make a larger iced drink, you will have to use two K-cups.
2) Unless you find a really great deal on the K-Elite, you can probably get the newer K-Supreme Plus or Smart Plus for around the same price.

An older but highly-rated Keurig model, the K-Elite was the first machine to have an iced coffee setting. Just press the “Iced” button and the K-Elite will choose the optimal settings for your iced coffee. It is likely works through a combination of reduced water temperature while brewing and brewing a smaller, more concentrated coffee anticipating some dilution from the ice. Just fill a plastic tumbler (not glass!) with ice and hit the button!

Best Budget Pick: The Keurig K-Slim+ICED Coffee Maker

Pros:
1) Most affordable Keurig with the Brew Over Ice button.

Cons:
1) Smallest water tank of the iced coffee makers, requiring more frequent refilling. The tank isn’t removable, so you’ll have to use a container to fill it on your machine.

2) Only brews a 6 oz iced coffee. You cannot use it to brew larger iced coffees. If you want to make a larger iced drink, you will have to use two pods.
3) Lacks some of the features and functionality of the K-Supreme range, like MultiStream brewing technology.

Like the more advanced K-Supreme range, the K-Slim+Iced machine also has a “Brew Over Ice” button to easily make an iced coffee that won’t taste watered down. This feature automatically adjusts the brewing temperature for iced drinks. It starts hotter to extract the full flavor of the coffee, then cools down as the brewing finishes. The result is less ice melt for an iced coffee with a vibrant, balanced flavor. Just fill your tumbler with ice, add your iced coffee K-cup, and hit the button.

The suggested retail price for this model is $129.99. That’s at least $30 less than the suggested price of the K-Supreme base model. Shop the Keurig K-Slim+ICED coffee maker from Keurig.com or Target.
