Nespresso Zenius: Directions for Use Video

Welcome to this video from Nespresso’s Technical Assistance Service on the directions for using the Zenius machine. The exceptional character of Nespresso coffee is no coincidence. To enjoy a perfect cup of Nespresso coffee at any moment, we recommend following these simple instructions. First and foremost, the quality of water is crucial in enhancing the aroma of your espresso. Therefore, we suggest filling the water tank with clean water daily. To get as close as possible to your personal expectations, you can now program the desired quantity for Ristretto, Espresso, or Lungo.

To begin, disconnect the machine and press and hold the Lungo button and the hot water button while turning on the machine. The buttons will then flash in a clockwise direction. Insert a capsule and to program the cup size, just keep holding down the respective button for the chosen option. When the cup reaches your desired level, release the button. It will flash three times to confirm the modification. From now on, every time you lightly press the button, the coffee will automatically flow according to the desired level. When inserting the capsule, make sure all the edges are straight so it doesn’t block the system. If you want to prepare a Lungo coffee, you can easily turn the tray to accommodate a larger cup or glass. Lastly, it’s important to eject the Nespresso capsule after each use to prevent it from sticking in the extraction system. We recommend emptying the used capsule container and the drip tray frequently to avoid spills. After using the machine for the last time, let water flow without a capsule inside to eliminate any remaining residue in the fluid system. If the Ristretto and Lungo buttons are flashing, you’ll need to reinstall the filter (if installed) located in the water tank. If the hot water button is flashing, it indicates that the machine is overheating. You need to turn it off and let it cool down for about 20 minutes. We suggest placing the machine in a location where it won’t be exposed to direct sunlight to prevent overheating. When all four buttons flash red simultaneously, it indicates the need to fill the water tank with fresh water. If the four buttons flash in a clockwise direction for 15 seconds, it’s time to descale the machine. This will help maintain the optimal temperature and quality of your Nespresso coffee. The descaling alert first appears when the machine is turned on and then repeats every hour. Please refrain from using vinegar as it may damage the internal parts of the machine. We advise using Nespresso’s descaling solution, which has been specifically designed for your machine.
